Anyone fancy Colerne Airfield Trackday 6th December?

Monday 6th December @ Colerne Airfield. :) A great track that I have done once before. Great for total NOOOBS as plenty of run off and the worst thing you can hit is a small traffic cone.

I am proposing to make this day a bit of a Briskoda meet-up / trackday experience. Sure it will be a bit cold probably, maybe even wet. £109 for full open-pit trackday. Can drive as little or as much as you would like. I'd be happy to share my limited trackday experience as a passenger, but I am sure Motorsport Events also have people there who will sit in with you to guide you through it all. I highly recommend this. B)

If there is enough interest (say 10+ people willing to come and take part / book / pay in advance) I will come for sure.

I have had confirmation from the organisers that if 10 cars book from Briskoda, they will throw in the driving tuition FREE OF CHARGE, so any newbies wanting their first track day taster - this would be perfect. :)

PS: I am sure Barrie, et.al will come forward with pics from the Colerne day done in 2009. ;)

1) devonutopia.

I'll stick some pics up for you. As much as I'd like to commit I'll not be able as I will be about 3 weeks into a new job in the Xmas season.

That would be a shame, Barrie, as I had you down as one of the most likely people to come along.

Date can be changed but I cannot do November as already have a day booked. Could always look at early 2011 too.

Having run a few BFTs round some of that peri-track, I think I'll have to decline for fear of depressing myself by remembering how quickly I used to be able to run a mile and a half...

poss if i have my new toy by then

Had confirmation if we get 10 cars, they will offer free driving tuition on the day to anyone who fancies it. Great for newbies who fancy a taster.

I've applied for a day off work for this, here's hoping. Also went there 3 weeks ago in the Clio, still the same layout which is good.

Well, there's not been much interest at all yet. :(

I am interested in this although I must have my new toy by then (due w/c 22/11), the 500 diesel is not exactly one for running on a track emoticon-0145-shake.gif

Yes it's a shame there has been no interest in trackdays this year, looks like it's gonna be just us.

You still going Jason?

I had binned the idea of going to this due to lack of interest. Have you booked on Mr Sooty?

I am going to Mallory Park on 19th November so not sure I can afford the extra tracktime and the tyres, etc associated with another day. :(

As you say, no one else interested so I'll be going to Mallory or Snetterton or somewhere bit more local, I'm going to search Trackdaylist to see whats on Nov. and Dec.

19th. Nov. Are you sure about this--Doughnutters Track Day.

Whoever s that car is surprised not been stopped by the police ,All vehicles manufactured after 1 January 1973 must display number plates of reflex-reflecting material, white at the front and yellow at the rear, with black characters.

Some people are really pedantic, Barrie would know about his plates.

don't worry fella they are track and show plates only

No problem mate, just the police are pulling everyone round here on a crackdown, they did 20 cars on canal road in one hour just for spacing or no dealer plate id
