2 types of flip out cup holder.

Featured Replies

You know the pop out n flip cup holder for the Fabia's dash..

Mines different to everyone else's, it works exactly the same but the trim on the front is curved on the inner (stereo) edge from about a CM down.

I worked out why today, the penny finally dropped.. My cup holder is intended for use with the after market stereo trim piece when used withthe MFD.. that's why it's not curved over at the top. Cuz the MFD is flat fronted, aint it.. So right at the top is where the face of the trim piece would start and hence the flat part.... I've got the after market / MFD trim piece from my last Fabia somewhere.. think I might have to top the stereo out later just to have a quick play and prove myself right.. but I can't see this being for any other reason. Anyone else got or seen this cup holder with this curved edge?

I'll go and take a picture and uploaded it in just a sec.. but if anyone close has the same cup holder but with the MFD or after market double iso stereo fitted then maybe, depending on closes and condition.. we could sort a swap? (via pm)

This makes me wonder if theres also a special twin iso trim piece for the slit down the other side of the radio with the same curved edge?

Do you mean trade parts specialists? http://www.thetradepartsspecialists.co.uk That's all I found with a google. The price sounds good, as I am sure at a Skoda dealers it is much more. I wonder if all their parts are equally well priced and they can get all VAG parts. I might shop there for bits instead of my local Skoda dealer, if they supply to the public.
