Fiscon Basic Plus on MY2011

Featured Replies

My Octy Elegance should arrive next Weds 22nd :)

I've ordered the Fiscon Basic Plus kit today, using discount code "scirocco123" (Thanks to a brisky poster!)

I understand that the unit may need coding on the newer cars? I don't need it to work with the MaxiDot, but I think it might still need to be coded for the Bolero to work on newer builds?

If this is the case can anyone suggest anyone with a VAGCom in the london/kent area who could do this at a reasonable cost?

If I where to bite the bullet and shell out for a VAGCom myself, are there many good other reasons to own one?

I also have another question if I may, I ordered a 2.0 PD TDi, in June, build week was 37, so will it have a CR engine in it instead? Sorry I can't get dealer to confirm as this is a company car and the lease company aren't much help at all.

I'm split weather I should with for a CR engine over a PD, as I have a PSI Power Box on my current Jetta which I understand I could take across to a PD.

Thanks, Danny.

I have the fiscon in my car, fitted a few weeks after I got the car, feb this year so I'm guessing thats 2010 MY.

No coding required to get it to work with my bolero. I understand that it could also work via maxidot with coding but i don't see the need TBH.

What website does the code work on and what discou t does it give?

My car required coding for mine to work my car was delivered in April/May

coding for what? maxidot, or just to work with the bolero?

n.b. mine was fitted by the uk importer richter sport (ie fiscon.co.uk)

Do your companies insurance know about this tuning box?

My company's insurance premium is over 2 mill a year. The policy is so flexible it's laughable. I'm insured to drive just about anything, cars, bikes, trucks, begged, borrowed, possibly even stolen! Most of the guys run a tuning box. It's more of a warrenty issue for the lease hire company than anything, so we pull them at anytime they visit the dealer, and hence remaps are not a option.

I've got a spare one of these! Anybody interested pm me....

So what do you think of the product? What are the limitations?

I feel I've jumped the gun a bit, I've since learned a bit more about genuine ross-tech's software versions etc, and I am now worried this thing won't be any good for a MY2011 vehicle.

You should be a politician, my company insurance policy is "flexible" too. I still have to tell them about things like performance increases though.

I guess my point was the employees actions are insured, rather than the vehicles involved.

Yep, very professional. Recommend 100%.

Thanks for the info Rob. Always good to get good feedback about a place that's going to take your interior to bits.
