Hand Held Code Reader

Featured Replies

I would like to purchase a hand held diagnostic code reader.

I have looked at a number of these on the net and in doubt over which to go for.

Would appreciate any recommendations/prices and where to buy from.

Also would be useful to know of any that I should avoid.

Thanks for any advise.

Are you looking for one specific to VAG cars or one of the generic OBD II code readers? If you plan to stay with VAG group cars VAGcom is the way to go. A friend of mine has it and it does a lot more than just read fault codes.

Thanks for the reply.

I only require the a code reader for the car I have at present- FL 1.4l TSI DSG.

However I would be interested to learn details of the one your friend has, as my mind is still not firmly made up on this subject.

I'm always reading about members who have these devises so perhaps they would oblige and post details.

Thanks to all who may reply.
