What is the difference between maxidot and trip computer?

Featured Replies

Upon ordering my Yeti (Elegance trim) , I am not sure which is included, maxidot or trip computer? I have ordered 4 spoke multifunction steering wheel , bluetooth and Bolero. I will ask the dealer anyway. But is maxidot worth it?

Maxidot is part of the elegance spec. It is a trip computer amongst many, many other things. It is a control panel for some of the on board computers settings. If you have the columbus sat nav it will even show directions on it. It is brilliant.

If you download the Yeti manual from one of the pinned threads, you can read all about it at home whilst drinking your favourite tippleemoticon-0140-rofl.gif

It is in the UK, but as far as Albania is concerned, I couldnt confirm that. We also get the four spoke multi function wheel as standard dont we?

Maxidot is simply a 'fuller' nicer graphical display giving trip and car info.

It carries out the functions of a trip computer but it also allows you to amend some basic functions of the car without having to take the car to the garage, ie to turn the DRL's on or off, to amend the rear wipers. It is not the answer to all of the worlds problems but it is quite useful.

Thanks guys!

I found out that even though Maxidot is not mentioned anywhere, there is a trip computer mentioned and ( as FocusZtec implies) a big screen trip computer.

And this last one was included in Elegance spec.
