Hi guys,

Im new to this forum but am hoping to be joining you with a new Vrs soon. As the title suggest im looking to buy a Octavia Vrs but i have no clue what im looking for i have a budget of around 3000 pounds. Im going to be going to the UK from Ireland for the choices here are limit. This will be the first time for me buying a car. Im looking for alot of the extras like Cruise control and things like that and i was wondering is there away of spotting it when looking at the adverts if its not mentioned? ive read "The Buying a Vrs" forum but im looking for more information on what type or how good of a conditioned one i could get for my budget any help would be really appreciated.

If it was my 3k, i'd be looking for a car with a full SH, not just a stamped book, with all recommended work done when it fell due with bodywork with no rust, major dents or dings. My 2.5k recently got me a 51 plate with 80k miles with the full history and very good overall condition. For an extra 500, i would have wanted a 52 or 53 plate with the same miles, or a 51 plate with about 60k miles.

Personally i'd prefer a standard car, unless you specifically want certain mods which have already been done to your liking, in which case you will save money by buying a car already with those mods included.

Thanks for your info. I am looking for a standard Vrs no mods but would like some of the oem extra features like all electrics, cruise control, and steering wheel reach adjustment.

Already sold. And remapped, so not standard anyway. :'(
