Fabia VRS Drivers Seat Movement

Featured Replies

Hi Guys. I was cleaning the Fab and realised some play in the drivers seat, possibly the base frame, not too sure. This is now noticable when driving and getting in/out the car, wobbles quite alot and doesn't feel too safe??!!!

Anyone got any ideas?

Yeah, it's not locked properly on the rails on both sides. Push your foot against the foot-rest and try to sort of 'twist' yourself. The other side of the seat should then lock.

HTH

My seat rocks backwards and forwards and it's clipped into place. It's done this since i got the car and i just couldn't be bothered to get the garge to fix it as bar 1 or two people they are all useless in the workshop!

I kinda wish i had put it in now though as it's doing my head in and have no idea whats causing it as it's solid in the rails and it's definately clipped into place properly as the seat gets moved when my mrs drives it and the kids are in the car.

Is that the kinda thing u mean? I say it's to absorb the torque to keep myself from going mad lol

There's a clip on each side - like I say, I bet just one has locked as this always happens after the car's been in the garage and the mechanic has moved it. Otherwise, try moving the seat up a little.
