new to the forum, hello...

own a 2-yr old octavia 2008 2.0 (FSI)...

airbag warning came up a few weeks ago, now horn's not working... dealer says it's the slip ring that needs to be changed but they don't have it in stock.

is this common? should they replace it free? if not, please where can i find a slip ring to buy (it's almost suicidal/impossible to drive without a horn in my part of the world.. :-(.....)

This is not a common fault and if your warranty has not expired, then it should be fixed FOC.

Being from Nigeria, you will find impossible to order from another country. Most sellers won't ship to Nigeria because of the 'scam problem'
