DPF Delete and re-map

Featured Replies

Cut a long story short, and as posted elsewhere, my DPF is buggered. I'm considering getting the DPF removed and the car re-mapped but after having 2 quotes from 2 reputable companies I'm a little confused as to how the quotes can differ so much in price. I know very little about this mod so can anyone who has had it done let me know what you think and if poss who done it for you. (a price would be even better but understand the sensitive nature as both companies are affiliated with this site) Could you tell me exactly what has been done as well. In fact any info will be appreciated.

Fitz,

Check out the following link to a post I put on here a while ago. I have had the DPF downpipe removed from my 2.0 TDI vRS and had the remap and I haven't looked back.

Everyone one wants something different but this is an awesome mod. I belive the car is producing over 210bhp, if not more, but the torque is massize and great through the gears. I ama currently looking at more mod to compliment the DPF removal, but as usual it's all down to cost and time!

If you have any more questions feel free to ask, hope this has been of some help.

Thanks for the reply mate. If you don't mind me asking, could you tell me who did the work and how much? PM me if you don't want to say over the air.

How much higher is your insurance due to the modification?

Well, after much deliberation as to if I should get this done or not, I've decided to get the DPF removed and the re-map carried out courtesy of Jabba Sport. Booked in for 2 days starting on the 6th of next month. Now for a very slow few weeks.
