Am I right in thinking that there are two types of headlight protectors and the continental ones have black squares on them?

Not entirely sure there's two types though it's entirely logical.

Mine were from a dealer and made in Australia but not sure of the manufacturer. I know EG-something did/do for many cars but couldn't be sure of the design or fitment.

And they work perfectly well with factory-fit xenons despite advice not to!
