Hi folks

After starting engine the passenger air-bag warning light stays lit (yellow) for about a minute before it goes out.

I didn't notice if it did this from day 1 or not. Only noticed it after about a week.

Can anyone tell me if this is normal or should it go out a lot sooner than this?

Can't remember how quickly it went out in the Yeti i test drove, but im sure that if it had been on for a minute then I would have remembered.

All the other VAG airbag lights I have seen go out after a second or two.

This is normal. Have in look in your handbook in the "Airbag system" section. It says the warning light for the passenger airbag goes out 65 seconds after the ignition is switched on.

Not 60 Not 70 but 65 seconds. Thats German engineering for you!!!!!
