Removing mirror glass

Featured Replies

Guys, how is this done without cracking the glass? Went down the breakers today & managed to crack 3. Do you need to use tools? I was just using my hands.

Help as mines is cracked & I've got a spider who keeps spinning webs all over my car.

As those photos helpfully show, the glass is held in centrally, into that central 'boss' that you see. So the easiest way is to gently prise it away, using one of the corners. It's obviously held in quite firmly, given its use and location, so you need to be slow and patient - otherwise it'll crack as you've found.

rotate so its fully pointing dowwards.

put your fingers in over the top of the mirror and pull down/ outwards gently. I'll pop off.
