Hello folks

Have a Newsouth 2x ColumnPod, into which I was planning on putting a boost gauge (-1.0 ~ 3.0 bar) and 1 extra gauge.

Initial thoughts are towards oil pressure, thinking that a drop in oil pressure might a good way to detect problems ? ...

Thoughts welcome ;)

Good choice mate, I have one of these! I have boost and a digital E.G.T/air-fuel gauge in mine..... But I also have oil temp, oil pressure and battery gauges under stereo....

As for your poll, OIL PRESSURE every time!!

It was your post from last year that convinced me they would work :thumbup:

Was thinking about making a custom guage holder out of the plastic tray unit under the stero hole, to be able to fit 2x 52mm gauges and still leave a little pocket to fit my stero remote (which handily, is about 50mm wide).

If it was me I would fit a 3 gauge pod in the cubby hole and have volts gauge, AFR gauge and a dual oil pressure/temp guage in there and then have the boost gauge in a single Newsouth pod, or a pod on the A-pillar.

If Des is still about on the forums he has got an LCD display in his car of pretty much everything the OBD-II port can tell you but I'm not sure what software it's using to do it.

I did consider a vent mounted LCD Liquid Cude device, like this;

But didn't like the idea of loosing a vent, combined with the megabucks price :thumbdown:

Did consider a DashDaq, but not the pricetag, nor another GPS size unit to place somewhere

I know 3 gauges would be the easy option, but I fancied something custom ;)

My remote is 50mm wide, which works well with 2x 52mm gauges

Hadn't thought about dual gauges :think: have to start my search again :)

yup as said, oil pressure is a must, but a dual gauge would be sweet and solve a space issue.

boost, oil pressure/temp, volts, plus air fuel ratio.

I'm gonna do what jamie said, 3 in the cubby i think and 1 on top.

where those pics of germany jamie??
