Featured Replies

hi has enyone taken out the front passinger seat out i now there four bolts but whot about the airbag is it best to let the dealer get it out

the reason why i was thinking of makeing the rails a bit longer so the seat will go back a bit more because girlfrend my can't bend her nees

it was just a thouht i had buy another seat and take the rails off and make the teeth longer on the rail so the seat will go back

Cant bend her knees?

I thought the passenger side had a fair old amount of leg room... Or are you just sneakily trying to get her in the back seat? :giggle:

In general, if you are even THINKING of mucking about with the airbags (I mean the Cars, here)! I would disconnect the battery for an hour or so beforehand but please be sure to ask a PROPER tekkie as you will probably damage your seats if you set them off and the insurance company may refuse to cover you or pay out any claim if they are supposed to be there but are not working properly!

As for the seat, it may be easier to have a different bracket made, to sit the sit back a bit. then, it will go further back but not as close to the front as now. Most people dont sit that close anyway and you could always reverse the process when it comes time to sell the car, perhaps selling the brackets to the new owner for the same application or seeing if you can utilise them on any later vehicle you replace this one with!
