Featured Replies

hey guys

i now have a creaking snapping kinda sound under firm braking :wall:

any suggestions ?

will have it on jack stands tomorow, to hunt the stoooopid noise , :swear:

arb bushes, or the plastic sleeves under the bushes

Mine did this @ just over 20K and it was the O/S plastic sleeve that had cracked on the front anti roll bar.

The best thing to do is remove the plastic sleeves (N/S and O/S) and fit the smaller 17mm bushes part No 1J0 411 314S (the original bushes are 19mm and part No 1J0 411 314P).

If you fit the 17mm bushes make sure you put some rubber grease on the inside of the bush where they fit around the anti roll bar.

I would guess they would sell it.

Rubber grease is a special grease that will not perish the rubber it comes into contact with.

Its more often than not, red in colour but can also be white and transperent.

We use it at work when rebuiding HGV air valve components.....it also comes in handy for lubricating the "O "ring seals in my OO7P dump valve.
