I've been signed up and lurking round on here for a while, and have been looking at getting a mk1 fabia vRS.

At the moment I drive/drove a 1999 bmw e36 328i coupe, and was looking to part-ex it against a vRS.

Well yesterday put the end to that plan, when I got hit by a van as I was joining a main road.

Dont think thatll be polishing out!! Both me and the van driver are fine, but its pretty certain that my car will be getting written off.

Anyway, so now im hopefully going to be veiwing some fabia's tomorrow fingers crossed they are as good as they look on the adverts!

OUCH!!!!! at least it wasn't new, and as you said both drivers are fine.

Ta guys, yeah, im annoyed about the loss, but its only my daily driver... if it was my baby, then id have been proper gutted.

Still, am going to look at another vrs tomorrow, fingers crossed its nicer than the one I saw today!

Went to view the fabia at lunchtime...

And im now the proud owner of a 56 plate vrs with leather interior, cruise control & godknows how many other toys ive not figured out yet!

Welcome to Briskoda. Bad luck about that BMW: try flogging it on eBay as there is probably someone out there who would buy that BMW and put it back into working order and good condfition.
