Address 46: Central Conv.

Cannot be reached

I solve problem to connect to addreess 09 so, that I turned off the car, then I locked the car and unlocked again and then I could connect to address 09: Cent. Elect.

But If I select address 46: Central Conv., I got several times an error "No response from controller".

And then I made auto-scan again and now I don't have address 46 on the list. I can't select this address any more.

What could be wrong?

Thanks.

I think I found what is wrong.

This address doesn't exist anymore. All functions from address 46 are now in address 09.

Can somebody confirm this?

You are correct!

BIG Nick :)

As stated by others, #46 is only acting as a virtual address with the new style BCMs. It's only listed in the installation list for compatibility reasons. You will see a similar behavior when it comes to the RNS310/RNS315 and Skoda Amundsen Radio Navigation System, they list #37 and #56 while they actually only talk via #37.

The actual BCMs have another goofy "feature". They do NOT answer via diagnostics if ANY door is locked. So just make sure you have all doors unlocked, then there should not be any issue.

HI Guys,

How are you doing there?

Unsure if I am writing on the right place here...Hope you guys can give me some useful advice on the following. I just got an OBDII VAG COM cable to my Octavia 1.9 Tdi Pd (new shape) (04 July). I have just installed the VAG COM software (3.11, 4.09, tried both of them so far.) everything looks alright, port works fine, cable compatibility test shows ok etc.. When I run the full autoscan only my Enginer ECU is found by the software, none of the others are (Steering wheel, ABS, Airbag). Message is NO response from the controller.)....

I would really appreciate any help or reply advice on this!

Thanks in advance to you all!

Tamas

Neither the hardware nor the software you use are compatible to that car. Communication is done via CAN, something your interface does not support.
