Tyre - Oct VRS mk2 Estate

Featured Replies

Could do with some general advice :-)

When I bought my VRS last year - its got an odd tyre on the back - which i want to get rid of before winter.

The other 3 have mitchelin pilot sports on.

Current tyre noise is quite bad - any suggestions?

Current thought is to move the fronts to the back - and new pilot sports on the front - £144 each (ouch).

My mileage is random - some weeks i'll do no mileage and others will do 1K a week - generally about 15-20K per year.

Thanks

I've just replaced all 4 of my Vrs tyres from Michelin pilot sports to Avon ZZ3s. I had Avons a few years ago on my impreza but didn't put them back on due to the price rocketing, so when the dealer gave me a price of £110 per tyre all in (£120 ish on Mytyres) i thought I'd give them a go.

first impressions are good and they are quieter. I doubt they'll be as good all round as the michelins but as i am going to invest in some winter wheels and tyres I didn't want to fork out Michelin prices for tyres that only lasted 12000 miles or so.

Hopefully I won't regret the change.

I'm still a big fan of the Falken 452's.

I recently replaced my fronts and I've now got the Falken's all round.

A lot quieter than other brands of tyres I've had and they certainly seem to grip well in both wet & dry conditions.
