How to remove sunglasses holder?

Featured Replies

Hello,

Well, as they say, don't "let your kids play with all the buttons". I shouldn't have. Anyway, result is that the button to select the courtesy lights ON / OFF / open doors is now in my glovebox.

It's not broken, but I'd like it to return where it was. Specially as there is a weird springy noise every time the lights are supposed to go on (think of a Tax Avery sound effect for a spring!).

I have found this reference http://www.briskoda.net/forums/new-octavia/sunglasses-holder-removal/63950/ but the topic does not exist anympre, and I can't find any more info on the met.

Could you put me on the right path to take the whole sunglasses holder + surrounding plastics off, and refit the button?

Thanks a lot.

Yes, thanks.

I recognise the post might be confusing, I was writing from memory.

Actually it's the courtesy lights I needed to remove. As I tried again, I managed to remove the glass, and found 2 screws. Once these are removed, the whole unit comes down, and unslotting the cable, I got it in hand and managed to put the button back.

Thanks again for your help.
