Fabia 1 heater stuck on hot

Hi Rodit, My wife has the car and says its OK at the moment, I think its muck in the potentiometers that tell the ECU what position the flap is in, so initially you should do a reset with VCDS and if that doesn't work you will have to remove the glovebox to be able to get near the motors, with the box removed you will see one motor on the LH side with some blue gears, that one is the fresh air / recirculate flap motor, the temperature motor is on the RH side and is hidden behind the cabin filter and the side footwell trim, if you push the trim in at the centre top you will just see the bottom of the motor, trouble is to gain access to the centre motor I had to take the centre console out around the radio and heater controls (fiddly job), I also pulled out the heater controls and there is a potentiometer on the back of the temp control which I squirted some switch cleaner in. I am busy at the moment hacking plaster off above the chimney breast trying to sort a damp patch out but if I find some time I will upload some pics. cheers - Stuart
