I've got some replacement genuine Skoda front ARB bushes for my Octy Mk1 VRS estate and intend to replace them myself.

But I'm confused as a search reveals some some threads here talking about grinding off bolts (when fitting Powerflex) and one saying it's a piece of plss. My Haynes says it might be necessary to lower the front sub-frame.

I've got the time and most tools to do things myself but grinding is a bit beyond my tools.

Can anyone help with advice?

Doing the ARB bushes is straightforward.

Change the droplinks while you're at it. Changing the bushes is a very quick and simple job.

May aswell get new bush clamps and bolts while you're there too.
