VCDS 912 on 908 cable

Featured Replies

Like the topic says, how can I use the VCDS 912 software on a 908 cable.

Sorry?

If you're using a genuine Ross-Tech cable you'll have no trouble!

BTW current release is 10.6.1!

Indeed!

No genuine interface of ours was ever tied to a specific version. Our policy has always been, updates are free - just use the current version. So if you got a legitimate system, you can always use the latest software. Of course, if you are using a pirated copy we will make sure that those do not work with newer versions...

Well said Sebastian :giggle:

Actually it´s a friends cable, so it must be like you said.

Funny , almost all of the things discovered and shared are due to those who have pirated copies, isn´t Sebastian.

I must errase how to put the foglights working instead of the headlights on the coming/leaving home function,

SOMETHING NO ONE WITH NON PIRATED COPIES WERE ABLE TO DO

Indeed, quite funny but you are missing an important point here. If a registered/legitimate customer contacts us we will share nearly all information available to us with them. Same goes for the updates we publish, they always include new information like coding details and other stuff. I honestly doubt that what you said is generally true, it may be for this specific case but even that is highly questionable to me. Keep in mind that those who are non-legitimate rarely/never contact us or even show up in forums we support/watch, but instead they usually stick together. So obviously there is a catch...

After all it makes no difference. Everybody using pirated copies would be furious if their own work would be stolen, but they do care about stealing from others themselves...
