Hello,

Its very easy. No don't remove the whole consul. There is a small nic nac? holder at the rear of the consul. I think this may be an ashtray on some models. Get in the back and just take this out, it pulls upwards without too much force. You can then see the 10mm adjuster nut. Its easy just to give it a couple of turns. Its even easier with a 10mm ratchet spanner as you don't have to keep taking it off and putting it back. Don't over do it.

Good luck, this should take about five minutes.

Probably find the rear brakes want adjusting if you have drums.

They should be self adjusting, though I expect sometimes the mechanism can stick.

They are in theory, dont work very well though tbh, as a lot of manufacturers also dont.

A couple of clicks on the rear drums usually makes a world of difference to both foot and handbrake before adjusting the cable.
