Floor mat poppers

Featured Replies

My mats appear to have been supplied by the dealer (are they standard?) or the lease company if not.

The driver and passenger mats clip down on black poppers/rivets in the footwell, but I noticed today the rears aren't fixed down, although the do have the holes in them.

I'm assuming they should also be fixed down in the back?

Any VAG dealer sells them as well. They just screw into the car carpet with help of a pilot hole, just push a small screwdriver through the carpet.

Should whoever fitted the mats before I got the car have fitted them?

I suppose what I mean is they look like VAG mats, they have Octavia on them so I assume they are OEM, would and OEM kit contain these items for all 4 mats?

I'm just checking before I ask the supplier where they have gotten to.

I bought a set of OEM mats from my local Skoda dealer for my Octy and they came with a set of poppers for the rears (probably 4 actually). I never used them as the rear mats don't really move in the foot wells so no need.

Just popin to your local dealer and they will possible just give you a few.

I've fitted the studs for the fronts, for obvious reasons. The rears though I didn't bother fitting.

I had the same - dealer supplied (free!) 4 mats, with fronts 'poppered', but backs loose.

After about 4 months I found the rear floor "popper kit" in a plastic bag tucked into a door pocket! Fitted them myself in about 10 minutes.

Just been to my local dealer in Jersey - only one here (car had 24 month service today) the guy there said I have to buy new mat set @ 44.01!

Anybody know the part number for these studs/poppers?

thanks

I'll have a set of four for the back please, from anyone who doesn't fancy fitting them :)

It annoys me on my back ones that the hole for them is there, but no popper! But that probably says more about me than anything else :p

Cheers,

Steve
