Hi all,

I've been directed here while doing some searching on my new-ish Octavia, so no doubt will be hassling those with knowledge about touchy subjects like adding removable towbars (I've just seen the thread about the towing Fabia vRS) and whether Skoda are liable if my cambelt fails (I bought the car believing that it needed doing at 100k, but have since read that - to be in line with other VAG cars with the 20v 1.8t - that it should be done at 60k/4 years).

A while ago, a car parked behind mine decided to spontaneously combust, melting my rear bumper and the outsides of the light clusters, plus scorching the hatchback. The light bulbs themselves weren't damaged and still worked, as did my aftermarket reversing sensor system, none of the wires were melted. I got a garage to replace the bumper, hatchback and light plastics, but I'm having a problem with the "faulty light" detector as, whenever I turn on the lights, the bulb symbol on the instrume

Hi. Just see that my 2023 skoda sportline karoq 19 inch wheels 19 inch. Sagittarius I believe? One of the covers is missing. Unsure if has been missing long and wanted your take on whether it has been stolen or has just fell off due to bad clips or design flaws. See photo of good wheel and the trim removed. First time starting a project thread, bear with me... Heard about this Roomster not too far from me that might be heading for a scrapyard, and decided to try to acquire it. I've had my Octavia mk4 for almost a year now and I'm looking for somewhere to get an annual service. For the previous 15 years I had an old vw bora and had been doing a basic yearly service myself, so I'm a bit out of touch with handing the car over to someone else. I was a bit miffed that the dealership I got the car from (rainworth skoda) did an "oil service" that didn't include a replacement filter when I purchased the car, so want to avoid the main dealers if possible.
