Sound of blowing in a bottle gear changing

Featured Replies

Just got an Octavia 57 1.9 tdi pd and loving it.. But there is this strange spooky blow noise when i change gears for a split second, all i can describe it like is when you blow across the top of a milk bottle. Anyone know if this is normal? ty

Turbo overrun? :-)

My 1.9 PD sounds great with the windows down driving through a tunnel or beside high walls that reflect the sound back, but it's pretty hard to hear all the induction noise otherwise... I'm pretty sure my car makes that noise when the revs are dropping between gear changes too... Get it remapped if you haven't already, turns a good engine into a great engine :D...
