Electrical gremlins

Featured Replies

Good evening ladies and gents,

Im having some electrical gremlins and thought some people may be able to help here. Started the car tonight and the light behind the radio keeps going on and off, all of the windows bar the drivers are are only going up and down occasionally and the central locking is only working sporadically and the climate control will not work. Any ideas?

Cheers Sid.

Check the fuses first Sid.

Sounds like the central convenience module is faulty. Get it checked with Vagcom. Bound to be a forum member near you who can help.

Ive got a spare central convenience module, are they coded to vehincels and would i need to re-programme it or anything to get it to work wiht my car?

It could be the pins on the central convenience unit and/or the terminals in the loom connector that are corroded. If you can get the door card off and disconnect the loom going to the electric window motor, you will see if they can be cleaned or if they need replacement.
