Temperature Guage

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

I recently purchased a 1999 Felly 1.3mpi, but on the way home noticed that the temp gauge wasn't working. When I got home I ordered a new temp sensor switch.

It now works at standstill only, but once I start driving the gauge goes too zero.

Thank you in anticipation

Darren

thermostat is probably stuck open.. either that or the thermostat housing is broken internally, it is a very common failure point on those

when you say you've ordered a temp sender switch i assume you mean the radiator fan switch right?? all that does is switch the fan on and off.... otherwise you mean the coolant temp sensor, you are in the right area with this but it's more likely to be the thermostat

Hi

I have changed the coolant temp sensor, and this has now given me the temp gauge reading when ticking over, but zero temp when moving. She seemed to flood when started 1st thing before i changed this, now she purs like a kitten.

I will get those parts ordered a.s.a.p, where is the best place to buy them from.

Many Thanks

Darren

ebay is your best friend

try jorily on there, always top notch service from him  ... iirc it's about £50 for the complete thermostat housing, so you are probably better off actually taking a look before you go splashing out loads on one.. you may just need a new thermostat
