fault code P0672 not P0627 - sorry

Featured Replies

Hi,doin a job outside work ;) , the guy has had a read an told code P0627 - glow plugs as the glow plug light kept coming up, so he replaced the glowplugs with checking the old or new ones before fitting.

I told him P0627 does not relate to glow plugs, points towards fuel pump problems.

Any one no of any common problems to look for, nipping round to the guys house tomorrow morning to read the system for myself to see what i can see.

I have also discovered that a 'FLASHING GLOW PLUG LIGHT' common to the skoda range while driving can also relate to brake pedal switch problems.

Any got any comments & views ? Will have more details tomorrow (engine size-year and model etc)

Mind posting a full scan? That way we can check part numbers, software versions and give you more than just generic suggestions.

Ok, update folks, not sure wether i can get snap on scans up on here, will try when have to, car is FABIA VRS 1.9TDI BLT eng and the code is not : P0627

Yep: its P0672 :giggle: , dont shout, ionly going by what he told me, easy mistake 672- 627 :giggle:

As the plugs are new, fault cylinder 2,he is going to try a bench glow test on the plug and also swap position with plug 1, i also have on order a glow plug tester, here this week, test glow plugs in situ without disconnecting feeds etc etc, interested to see how it works B)

Cleared the code,he is going to run the car until light comes backon and i have my new tester, then going to reread tosee what we can find.

Will keep you posted.

Cheers andy
