Last 2.0 PD 140 made - BKD or BKP?

Featured Replies

Were the last 2.0 PD 140 engines fitted to Octavia's the BKD or BKP model engine?

Engine Code is on a label on the passenger door if anyone's willing to look on a 09/59 plate model.

Also, does the BKD type have more of an issue with turbo's failing than the BKP ?

Thanks

Pretty sure the BKP only appeared in the Passat and changed plenty of turbos on them. BKP also had a sizeable recall to change the oil pump drive gears as they were failing.

The BKD engine seems to have alot of turbo failures too. What does a new turbo cost including fitting roughly?

Thanks

I have a 10 plate car with the 2.0pd engine fitted, i got mine then found out they where finally swapping over to the cr engine.

Is it a BKD? Should have a label on the end of the passenger door that says it.
