I'm trying to compare labour costs between a main Skoda dealer, VW independent and a run of the mill independent garage.

if possible, can you state what you have paid per hour including VAT for servicing/repairs and state if it was Skoda, VW or Inde.

it would be really useful.

Its all relative to where you live though isn't it? If you compare quotes from where I live in the South then they will surely be higher than those from the North/Scotland.

Local Skoda dealer in Croydon area quoted £79 ph not sure if that included VAT, if it did close to the £68 + VAT above

What are they like? I am over in Sutton, would'nt take my car near Allams in a million but next nearest is Croydon.

Whats wrong with allams. They have given me home prices for both cambelt and major service with briskoda discounts. Was happy with cambelt service and major service is booked for later this month. Was happy with Aldershot dealer but Allams were cheaper and are easier to get to from work to pick the car up.
