Brake pedal height

Featured Replies

I find that the brake pedal is a bit high on my 2010 Octavia VRs does anyone know if it can be adjusted?

Thanks

Not without modifying the pedal itself. Wont be skoda approved, and god forbid you have any sort of accident after messing with it!

have you tred another car to make sure its not your car thats at fault? Ive got a 2010 VRS and the pedal feels fine to me.....

Its not a huge problem but sometimes I catch my foot on the edge of the brake pedal as I switch from the accelerator to the brake without lifting my heal of the floor, I had a similar problem with my Peugot 206GTi which had very similar pedals. In the old days there was some adjustment in pedal heights but I’ll just have to live with it

I think its like that on all VAG cars. Brake pedal is a bit high compared to other pedals.

I think it's done deliberately so you don't accidentally hit the wrong pedal. Unfortunately if you have shoes with a 'lip' at the sole it can catch on the edge of the brake pedal if you try to move from accelerator to brake quickly, the usual move in an emergency. I got this recently and accelerated instead of braking, as my foot didn't move across as anticipated but pressed the pedal on reflex. I think a redesigned pedal cover would be a better idea, with a side panel block to prevent shoe soles being caught under the RH side of the brake pedal.
