Hello everybody; new user just declaring himself present.

I've joined up in the hope that I'll be able to assimilate & absorb the information and wisdom furnished by other Skoda drivers.

FWIW; I've just purchased a used Skoda Superb (03) 1.9TDI Classic 100. It's actually my first car, believe it or not. Some would have you believe its size makes it a poor choice for an inexperienced driver but I don't subscribe to that reasoning.

After much contemplation and deliberation I opted for the car I did because of the price, the general reliability, the longevity and the economy. Actually, I find the styling pleasing too - still looks like a very modern vehicle. Cost me £2,500; 90,000 miles on the clock. Came with partial service history, from a private seller. I felt it was in good condition and verified that it had no major part replacements. Just your typical changes; belt et al.

Anyway... That's really my automotive tuppenceworth. I'll leave the rest to a more relevant thread.

Looking forward to future contributions.

Paul.

If you haven't seen them yet then make sure you check out the water ingress issues all the Superb's suffer with, do the job BEFORE it leaks and it will save you a lot of time, hassle and money .
