I recently developed a heater blower problem on my 2006 Octavia Vrs, It will only work on setting 4. I belive the problem lies with the resistor after reading other post, but were is the resistor located?

Any help on the topic would be really appericiated, thank you.

the resistor is located just under the dash on passenger side where the heater vent for your feet comes down is it's covered so you cant see it remove the cover 2 clips you will see 4to6 heavy wires go up into the resistor which is white in colour with copper wires covered in green comes out easily just squeeze the tabs on each side and replace got mine on e bay about £11

Thanks, got a resistor from main dealer and fitted it today, its now working like a dream! thanks for the info.

i have now replaced the heater resistor twice within a month on my octavia, any clues as to why it keeps blowing !!!????

Have you cleaned/put a new pollen filter in?
