Hi,

Anyone else considering or already ordered that?

Decorative exhaust pipes

Oddly (for me, at least), it states that it's only available for 1,2 TSi and 2,0 TDi. As I opted for 1,8 TSi, I don't get it why it is not possible for this engine... maybe it's only for single-pipe exhaust systems?

It may well be a different diameter... but if it fits the 1.2 and 2.0 you would think it would fit.

Only problem with dealers too you wouldn't be able to buy it and try :( unless you give them a call to find out?

Or, you could look at speaking with a custom exhaust manufacturer and see if they can put a tailpipe on there for you.

Just remember it involves cutting of the existing pipes to fit these. They don't just clip over as you'd expect. You have to shorten the existing pipes by 50mm each if memory serves from reading a previous (very old) thread on here. Otherwise the tip will protrude past the edge of the bumper.

Had exactly the same type of fitment with the Seat Altea as well. Are the stock pipe ends stainless? If so, polish those up.

2.0 TDI 125 kW already have 2½ inch stainless pipes.

my 1.2 already has one BIG ss end pipe/outlet

Can you upload the picture of it? Im planning to put this end pipe on my TSI 1.2.

I have my tube of Autosol ready and waiting!
