360 RROD

Featured Replies

Hi all,

a quick question regarding the 360 RROD thing. I've got it booked in for a repair for the RROD, however; does it need to be light constantly, or does it just need to light up once? I.e does it need to display the RROD constantly, or if it does it once will that count? How do they tell, is it an error log or something, or do they fix them regardless?

Cheers,

Joe.

When my old 360 RROD (twice!) - it was constant when switching on the machine, and clearly the machine wouldn't work.

Repair service was very quick and efficient.

Hope your probs are sorted swiftly.

Yeah, this is the death of my second. The 1st just died fully, but this one isn't dying in the same way, and seeings as it had the repair registered just before the 3rd year of warranty ran out, I want to make sure they don't just turn around and say tough purely as it's not a constant issue.

Service was great last time, and this one too - can't find fault at all with the repair system so far, just the product!

I'd suggest leaving it on as much as possible.

I had an old 360 that did similar, i just kept leaving it playing the intro videos to a game, and after a day or two, the RROD went from occasional to constant.

Ah, good idea. I'll set it on Dirt2 playing a replay over and over on a loop. Should give C/GPU something to do.

Thanks.
