Very nice indeed.

So So tempted by the slippery slope that is the DSLR  :notme:

very nice picture but abit scary at the same time as it looks like something might jump out of the tunnel

nice pic. i must say i don't really understand all the photography stuff, do you have to play around with all the exposure settings etc to get decent pic?

Thanks.... It's all dependant on what you want the shot to come out like. You have to change settings on the camera whilst taking the shot then develop the image with Photoshop etc... to get the image as you like it.

Nice pic.. blur effect really messed with me for a sec.. "How, the, what?.. Fstop at? Huh... Ooooooooo... post pro" lol. hehe.

I like your lil HDR dwelling as well... Just getting into HDR myself and still not sure it's something I'm fond of yet.. but your pic looks nice..

I got so close to a DSLR.. all the way upto a Cannon G9.. it would have been the next step but I back pedaled instead.. hated the bulk and missed to spontaneousness.

Thanks Rob.

I had a Canon eos1000fn 35mm SLR years about 15 or more years ago which got me into photography. Then i found other things to take up my time before starting to get back into it again about four or five years ago. I talked the mrs into getting a couple of well featured compacts that had quite a few features found on SLR's before deciding to go for a dSLR last year. I was all set to go for either a Canon 1000d or a Nikon D60 when along came my long service award catalogue and i saw i could get a D90 for £450 (Which was only slightly more than i was planning on spending on one of the other two entry level cameras). So D90 it was then.

I'm starting to get to grips with it now and think it's a great piece of kit and it is indeed a very steep and very slippery slope..... More so than the motoring hobby at times. :giggle:

HDR is something i've always liked.... It's not to everyone's taste and there are always big discussions going on in the various photography forums as to whether a picture is great or ugly. To me HDR is the marmite of the photography world you either love it or hate it. I remember a picture of mine that was voted onto a wallpaper site by the sites users caused a great discussion with some saying they didn't like the image and others saying they loved it..... I just sat back and watched it with much amusement... I checked the stats for it today and 80,000+ downloads in three months are enough for me to think it was worth submitting it.

Cheers

Dave.
