YA BEAUTY !!

My 140bhp DSG Elegance in Muscovado with onyx interior, Annapurna Alloys, Sat Nav, upgraded stereo, rough road pack, park assist , tyre pressure monitor, heated windscreen, spare wheel, floor mats, IS HERE !!

Of course, typically, I'm just in the middle of a really busy work period and I'm working the next 6 weekends, so I dont really have much time to do any driving at the mo, DOH! Since I normally get the bus to work, my lovely Yeti has done no more than be reversed into my driveway!!

However, I'm off today and its off to the shops. My normal shop is about half a mile away, but I'm going to drive 5 miles to another shop, just to have a drive in the Yeti !

Tomorrow I'm going to drive to work and then hopefully drive a wee bit to pick up my daughter, so I might get a few more miles in.

First impressions are good. The colour looks great, its not as dark as I thought it was going to be. The doors sound "just like a VW" when you close them and the stereo sounded great when I switched it on for two seconds.

I'll report back in a wee while, when I've done a bit of driving and I'll add some pictures. I just wish I wasnt so busy and so tired, I cant really enjoy it as much as I wanted. Bad planning on my part.

Incidentally, I managed to find one dealer out of three local ones who has agreed to give me a wee bit discount off the price of 4 steel wheels for my winter tyres, so he'll be getting my service business, despite the fact he's outside Edinburgh where I work. The ignorance of the parts departments regarding these wheels was staggering. They really werent clued up at al land seemed totally confused as to what the difference was between the two sets of 16" Steel wheels for the yeti.

Big thanks to 'The Plumber' and James from Allams for their help with this. When I phoned one of the dealers , he couldnt find the wheels and I told him I was looking for 7Jx16 ET45's he asked "where did you get that info from", I answered "from the Skoda Forum" , I was met with a resounding "ermmmmm" and then " we havent sold any of these , dont know anything about winter tyres". I couldnt help thinking "its about time you blinking well did"

Anyway, enough grumping for the moment, I'm just about to set off to the shops,(what an exciting life I lead!!)
