modified A pillar cover

Featured Replies

As some of you may know the Fabia II suffers from a design fault with the A pillars when there's water on the roof it pours into the car when you open the front windows.

An Honest John review states that Skoda have a modified A pillar cover. (is this standard on fl or as an upgrade to pre fl ad/or fl)

'During even moderate rain, the driver's window and door mirror visibility is obscured by water spray. When it rains it is dangerous to overtake or change lanes, as you cannot see anything in the driver's door mirror. Water also runs off the roof and the driver's door seal doesn't prevent ingress into the cabin. Skoda dealers have a modified A pillar cover 2mm wider than the original, but it does not totally solve the problem. ' ( http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/skoda/fabia-2007?section=bad )

does anyone have any more info on these? is it a case of replacing the A pillar cover?
