changing sub frame from std vRS seat.........

Featured Replies

I have some R32 seats in my vRS as some will know but the passengers sub frame is squeeking a bit and even the drivers one looks pritty worn as they were in a 3 door golf before even tho they are out of a 5 door R32.

I am thinking of taking the R32 seats oppart and putting them on my vRS frames, is it possible without damaging the seats? If its poss at all?

Cheers

Billy

Ps on another note, I have recently taken the R32 reps with mayrun tyres off the car to put my TD pro race 1.2 back on with 452's, I have noticed my mpg has gone down by 3-5 on the drive to work?????? Has anyone else found that the falkens are not as eco?

I had squeeky Recaro's on a Golf GTI. Pretty sure there was a fix somewhere on ukmkiv's.net.

I recently replaced Dunlop SP3000's with 452's, & haven't noticed any change in mpg.

The drivers seat on my Elegance squeaked when I got the car so I sprayed all of the pivot points on the height adjuster with white lithium grease and it has been silent for the last 18 months. Don't know it this helps?

Suspect the the sub-frames are very different (apart from the fitment to runners part).
