Program remote key to elec seat memory

Featured Replies

I have a 2003 V6 Elegance and am trying to program the key to the seat memory.

The book is rather vague (tells me to set the seat and memory key, then within 10 seconds of removing the key press one of the buttons but not clear on which one.

I am having comfort feature issues ( everything working except courtesy lights) so dont know if this is another comfort feature which is starting to fail - really need to get the passenger seat out and the carpet up !!!!

I'd imagine it's the same as my Octy Scout with electric seats. The button to press on the remote is the UNLOCK button. Here is the relevant extract from my manual:

Assigning remote control to the memory buttons

After storing the settings of the seat and exterior mirrors, you have 10 seconds in order to assign the radio remote control to the appropriate memory button.

– Withdraw the ignition key.

– Press the unlock button. The setting is stored with the memory button which you have selected.

Assigning different settings to "his" and "hers" remotes comes in very handy if you are like me and have a significantly smaller wife, which previously made getting into the car after her an exercise in contortionism :giggle: .
