Removing seats

Featured Replies

I have used the search function to death and have finally got fed up. I've also PM'd a member and haven't had a reply yet. I'm wanting to do this on Saturday, so time is getting a little short for me.

So, anybody know how to remove the upper part of rear seats (can do the bottoms just fine!), and both front seats?

Do I have to look out for any wires which might be connected or anything like that?

Reason for removal is to give them a good clean with a rug doctor, and would rather not do it with the seats in situ. so I can clean the carpets too (some mould from water ingress - now solved).

How easy would it be to clean the seats in situ., and what problems would I come across?

Sorry again for lacking in patience with the search function, and thanks for any help!

Indeed :giggle:

Looks like my searching skills are as good as my mechanical ones

Good job! Very helpful links!

What do you think about the replacement of the 10-star bolt? Is that going to be necessary do you think?

How about some of this if you decide to reuse the bolts?

Price up the bolts as well though mate,

they may be cheaper than you think? Make sure the spline socket

you use to remove them is a snug fit and fully inserted into the bolt

on each turn. They will be damaged if you don't take care when removing.

Good luck Dan
