Im Meddy and just discovered this fantastic forum. I've got my heart on a Skoda Octavia, the newer the better. I've seen an 07 plate Elegance 2.0 TDI and its done 60,000. Its up for £7898, but i dont want to pay the screen price, so some haggling will have to be done.

Has anyone got any tips on what to look for. Ive been on What Car and they say, rear washer bottle and door seals. Is there anything else i can use as bargaining power?

Any advice to the Elegance would be very gratefully received. Going to look at it on Friday.

I wouldn't pay £8K for it.

I've seen one Elegance 2.0TDI PD DSG with 36K on for £8K (56 plate)

Just done the deal and got a good price for the Elegance. Picking it up on Friday and can't wait. I was very impressed with the test drive. I'd love to get the elegance back home and start tarting it up a little, but not too much, but just to make it VRS like. Things im going to consider are

Stainless steel tailpipe

Audi LED lights

VRS Boot spoiler

18" Alloys

Remap/chip

Anyone got any useful links on how to achieve the above? Is the exhaust easy to change?
