Skoda India has launched the new Fabia on 12th October. The new models will be fitted with Volkswagen 1.2 Engine.

Its improved on interiors and exteriors but a lot of features has been removed to lower the price.

strange they do not get the 1.6 cr tdi only the 1.2cr tdi?

So you have the choice of

1.2 75HP 3 cylinder 12v petrol

1.4 105HP 4 cylinder 16v petrol

1.2 75HP 3 cylinder 12v (Common Rail) Diesel.

I'm surprised that the 1.2 petrol and diesel engines have the same power, having said that, the diesel is turbocharged.

Jim, they are different. The 1.2 3cylinder diesel has huge amounts of extra torque over the petrol version (can't remember the figure but it's huge by comparison), The diesel is considerably more powerful and faster too.

Diesel 180 NM @ 2000rpm

Petrol 110 NM @ 3750rpm

1.6 petrol 153 NM @ 3800rpm
