pd170 dpf fault- how to show soot loading

Featured Replies

Dpf light came on when stuck in traffic so now have glowplug and emission light on also, so requires forced regen.

Skoda assist coming tomorrow but is there a way to put the car into test mode and show the soot loading as I understand anything above 95% and it's new dpf time- I'd rather know asap what the loading is

Seem to think it was pressing some buttons on the stereo whilst crossing fingers and standing on one leg......

Does it just not need a good hoof up the motorway to clear out?

no-once the glowplug light is on it is locked until forced regen. I was stuck on M1 in 13 mile of roadworks near luton so couldnt hoof it

yes 95% sounds about right when it dies, be careful because some skoda dealers are telling customers it cant be done above 75% which is rubbish

sorted- despite driving nearly 300 miles from luton to carlisle in limp home mode the soot was only 58%

Going to look at at dpf delete pipe i think

might be worth changing the pressure sensor these are common to go down

It had one done at the 26E6 update or whatever its called

In fairness, it has a Ptorque remap so dpf regen will occur more frequently due to the increased soot levels

i had mine do something similar, went straight to blocked (limp) mode no dpf light before when it is supposed to come on above a certain % blocked to tell you to bring it for a regen drive, turned out to be pressure sensor
