servincing parts

Featured Replies

hi all going to be serviccing the car in a few weeks, its a 56 plate fabia vrs, just looking at oil filters and see that theres various types, some showing just the inside part of the filter, the fabric type part if you will? and then others showing the complete housing nearly wiht the outer casing, whats the difference and does it really matter? can anyone reccomned any particular one? looking on ebay, would prefer OE, have found a few for about £5, sound about right?

thanks, jordan

IIRC the oil filter is just over £4 from a dealer, at that price you would be mad to stick anything but OE in.

Find your local TPS. That's where I get all my genuine parts from emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Two points:

A] It's a 30 mile round trip from Gloucester - are they cheaper than the local Skoda dealer will be?

B] Their website notes they're trade only...
