Getting the Horn

Featured Replies

My horn has lost it's majestic tone and now emits a strangled peep. I'm guessing what used to be a dual tone horn is now single tone. According to Haynes I have to remove the bumper to access it. Is this really necessary? I know you'll say it's easy to take off the bumper, but I'll be working at the roadside and don't fancy it. If I put the car on ramps will I be able to get to it or at least the wiring then I can substitute a new air-horn or similar such as My link

Thanks

I don't think you'll ever going to get enough access without removing the bumper I'm afraid. I know your bumper is different to mine, but I've had the horn off before and can't imagine how else you'd get to it.

You may be able to get access from behind, through the arch liner, but you'll have no room for any tools.

You can get the bumper off without jacking the car up or removing any wheels, so it's not hard. You'll have it off in 30mins, just don't drop it on the driveway!
