So I am still trying to weigh up some options,

a) fabia VRS for £4500-£5000 + mods to produce ~225bhp ~ 50mpg total cost ~ £6500 at least

other vw group 1.8t for £3000 ish + stg 1 remap ~210bhp and LPG it. equivalent ~55mpg, total £5000

has anyone LPG experience of vw group engines, how reliable?

What would be the difference in real world performance.

Im going to be doing quite a few 400mile round trips and usually sit at 70ish average on motorwar, wondering if the petrol would do better at steady speed?

Any comments?

Personally hate LPG..

We've got a customer here that runs LPG on his Mk1 Octavia vRS, it's had to have a new head recenty because the lpg killed the valve seats i think, he now has a bottle of additive as well that injects into the inlet to help the seats..

You may save money in fuel, but may have to pay out for other things like this customer has..
