second problem with my 'new' skoda ocatvia VRS. not only have i got the oil pressure problem but also today when left on tick over it would like die downa nd struggle then come back up again. drops about 200rpm off normal idle then goes back up ... sound s abit like its about to stall

Remove & clean the throttle body.

I know you got it for a good price, but do you really want a car with no oil pressure and engine management issues? Unless the price was so good that you could spend a worst case scenario grand or so on it and still call it a fair price I'd take it back.

Or the secondary air pump thingy maybe?
