now those are interesting, how much did they cost shipped?

should see a big improvment with these, are you going to run tt/r32 cast wishbones too?

Hi

big one, and I already have LCA cast ones, new, and R32 used steering rack 2.5turn.

Going to fit them this weekend together with Powerflex 510 and 610 bushings.

now those are interesting, how much did they cost shipped?

good setup there, its what i run, a suggestion to improve handling is fit whiteline caster adjustors, has really helped high speed cornering and being able to apply traction in those scenarios.

makes a massive improvement over the stock uprated bush

the balljoint position/angle shouldnt change, it the rear bush that is pushed out slightly from the subframe to adjust the caster.

Doesn't it screw up the front wishbone bush though? Because you're putting an offset angle on its axis of rotation, by bringing out the back end of the wishbone from the subframe.

I'm assuming you have to adjust the track rod ends with them too, otherwise you'll change the tow.

Surely the only proper way to adjust caster angle on this car is to have some of those fancy adjustable strut top mounts installed.

Those bushes seem like a bit of a bodge, and do they really adjust the caster that much? What is the change in angle from standard? It looks like it's only moving the pivot point by like 5mm or less, which will translate to less forward movement at the balljoint.

I wish someone would make some s****y aftermarket wishbones, with dimensional options. I've always lusted after some dirty negative camber!

I'm not allowed the word swa-nky?! Oooook then!

lol, topical word that!

Yes its not a massive adjustment, and i guess it will adjust the balljoint angle slightly (however not outside its aceptable range of movement) but it does have a massive affect in the way the car handles when combined with the cast wishbones, believe me, the car handles like it should now with so much more grip when cornering fast.

As far as adjusting trackrod ends, i use tt stuff again so cant comment on a difference between stock and modified.

The adjustment is slight and shouldnt cause premature wear as far as i can see, its benefits far outweigh any losses in my opinion.

Remember geometry adjustments are slight, and often minute so 5mm (not a definitve number) could make a masive difference.

Just tested my drivetrain setup at

www.grobnik.hr last week.

Guy who is teaching me how to drive is former profi driver and mechanic-he is doing setup on my car- concluded together with me that the setup on my car is even better that the one they had on Octavia I cup.

We measured temp on each tire, outside, middle and inner side, the difference on one tires was less than 20C and mean temp on front and rear had less than 25C difference, that says ****ing good setup. Remember that is left circle bikers track-big inclination in each corner so I drive

with front camber -1.5 and rear -1.5.

Rear toe oppened from -6 to -2 .

CAR SIMPLY HANDLES GREAT AND IS FAR MORE DIRECT WITH NEW STEERING RACK.

gREAT IMPROVEMENT.

Unfortunatelly something was wrong with brakes( probably some air left in new hoses) so I couldn't brake late as I did normaly so my best lap was repeated with touristic drive hrough 3 big corners.

next time better I hope.
